Last night, I had a great opportunity to watch "The Social Network" which is in my opinion an unauthorized biography of Marck Zuckerburg (hope I spelled it right), the leader of the team that built FACEBOOK.  This great website phenomenon has certainly revolutionized the digital life of people in the planet.  People talk about Facebook as if it were a necessity and that certainly is it's appeal.

The movie was certainly enjoyable, it got me at the edge of my seat most of the time because if the movie depicted what actually happened then we might be able to conclude that before it's sensational success, Mark and his team had to go through insurmountable odds and even going against friends.  Facebook was an asset and borrowing the phrase from the movie "If it ain't cool then it's nothing."  Assets make us rich and not money.

If you have a chance to get a glimpse of the movie then I suggest you do.  Many of the lessons that stood out form me was the fact that Mark Zuckerburg is the world's youngest billionaire and he is measured through his 'Net Worth' and not by the money he has in the bank.  Net Worth is arrived at through a Balance Sheet between ones assets and liabilities.  In this case Facebook was the Asset which is growing by so many thousands a day in membership.

The moment that you decide that you want to purchase assets and make it grow in that column is the day that you will be building the path towards real wealth.  Whatever the vehicle as long as it contributes to your Income is sure to boost your wealth.  It takes us to our mid income habits of purchasing that new Iphone or any gadgetry that diminishes in value and we think we are rich since we have the gadgets that make us look like one.  Think again.

Our wealth indeed is in direct proportion to our will to succeed.  That defined Mark Z and Facebook and will define you and the enterprise that you are creating!
